BenchSlap is not a chatbot. It's a determined, math-driven legal research and drafting system with a closed Utah corpus. It cannot cite a case that doesn't exist. Every authority is pinned by SHA-256 to the actual stored opinion text and checked before any output reaches you.
Every Utah appellate opinion since 1996 is in the corpus, SHA-256 hashed, and verified at ingest. Every citation the AI generates is checked against the stored text before it reaches you. Structural claims — disposition, panel vote, binding weight — are verified against an extracted fact store, not the AI's guess.
Paste any Utah case citation or a paragraph with citations. The same pipeline your pilot would use will check each cite against the corpus and return VERIFIED or FABRICATED with evidence.

I built this for myself. I practice in Utah — civil, criminal, family, post-conviction — and I needed a tool that would not hallucinate, would know the local rules, and would check my work before I served it. Nothing on the market did that reliably. Eleven years of practice, 14 months of building, and here we are.
The pilot is capped at five so I can personally onboard each participant. That cap is real — after five I close new pilot slots and move to standard monthly pricing. I would rather do this right with five attorneys than do it poorly with fifty.
If it doesn't earn its keep in your practice in 30 days, I refund you. I think it will, but my conviction is not your burden.
