Built so Utah's courts can hear everyone.
Utah-native legal help for pro se and low-bono litigants. Every filing runs
through the full URCP compliance gate. Every citation is verified against
28,541 Utah opinions before it reaches a judge. Fabricated case law is
blocked at the database layer — not flagged downstream. Same pipeline that
paid counsel uses, available free at benchslap.com.

The three frustrations we built this to fix
URCP 26(c)(5)
Discovery tier errors
Protective-order motions driven by wrong-tier interrogatory counts. BenchSlap resolves the tier and numeric limits in one call, pulled directly from the rule database. Pro se litigants stop guessing; court staff stop re-routing.
URCP 26.1
Missing Rule 26.1 disclosures
Commissioners name this the #1 driver of OSC motions. BenchSlap auto-generates the full checklist for the specific case type (divorce, custody, paternity, modification, support) and flags what's required vs. situational.
URCP 7 + 10
Structurally bad filings
Captions, titles, Rule 7 notice, signatures — all verified in under 100ms before filing. Auditor tool extends this to the full URCP 7/8/9/10/11/101 gate plus citation verification via AEGIS.
What the verification pipeline actually guarantees
- AEGIS content-hash pinning. Every Utah authority carries a SHA-256 hash + 5-gram shingle signature. Hallucinated holdings fail containment and hard-block at the gate — not get flagged afterward.
- AEGIS Prime structural facts. Disposition (affirmed / reversed / vacated), panel vote, binding weight, and superseded-by links pre-extracted for the Utah corpus. A brief that claims a reversed case was affirmed blocks before it reaches the court.
- Five-tier verification. Local cache → utcourts.gov → CourtListener → Caselaw Access Project → multi-AI peer review. Every citation is resolved at the strongest available tier.
- URCP compliance gate. Rule 7, 8, 9, 10, 11, 101 structural checks run on every draft. Failed rules auto-correct or stop the filing.
- Tamper-evident audit log. User actions are hash-chained. Every filing's provenance is reconstructible.
"The hardest thing about hearing pro se litigants is not that they speak — it's that the filings don't meet the court where it is."
